This is perhaps even dumber than those previous Atlas scenarios assuming that if no candidate can get a majority of delegates to secure the nomination on first ballot at either party's convention, then the party would just nominate some random guy who didn't even run in the primaries.

To begin with I thought that this would help them with these stars mobilising their fan bases in their favour, but now I see more how it has probably alienated a lot of WWC voters in places like Iowa and Ohio, playing into the whole “coastal elite” narrative. Trump bucking the celebrity trend and running as an R who ostensibly had the working man’s back doubtless worked wonders with this demographic.
