Statewide polling from 2004 onwards is relatively easy to find; it can be easily found on Wikipedia, 538, RCP, and electoral-vote.com. Statewide polling from 1998 to 2002 is more difficult to find, but it can be found on 538 and CNN's official website.
However, none of these websites contain ANY statewide polling for elections before 1998. In fact, it is hard even to find polls in general from this time period; pollingreport.com, for instance, does not contain Presidential or Generic Ballot polling for 1996.
Does statewide polling from before 1998 exist (probably does), and where can one find it?
