Ford picked up four states won by Humphrey (CT, ME, MI, WA)--so I'd start looking there.

As somebody who used to live nearby it, I find Kings County CA voting this way to be super weird. It's a rural agricultural area, it feels like an area where Carter would have easily improved over Humphrey rather than the other way around.

Alaska has Boroughs and Humphrey almost won the state while Carter was trounced.

I'd guess Anchorage is an example.
