I'll post my results from the game 270 in this thread. Keep in mind that the PVs are gonna be weird for historical races since the game uses the 2020 EC map. I have all the candidates so if anyone has any suggestions I'll try and do them. I don't have any VPs yet though.

1952: Eisenhower defeats Truman

Pres. Harry Truman (D-MO): 76,289,057 PV, 299 EV
Gen. Dwight Eisenhower (R-NY): 59,415,807 PV, 240 EV

Truman wins a third term, featuring an early Southern strategy. I would have included a Dixiecrat as well if there were any.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL): 81,037,484 PV, 329 EV
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA): 54,667,330 PV, 207 EV

DeSantis brings back the Bush coalition.

2028: 77 Million Votes, My...

1936: Victory

Adm. Winston Churchill (R-NY): 83,635,522 PV, 363 EV
Pres. Franklin Roosevelt (D-NY): 52,069,342 PV, 168 EV

Churchill's mother was American, so this scenario supposes that he was born in New York. He unseats incumbent FDR.

2004: They Misunderestimated Me

Pres. George W. Bush (R-TX): 112,458,223 PV, 439 EV
Sen. John Kerry (D-MA): 23,246,641 PV, 99 EV

Had to sacrifice NH to win CA.

2020: Crooked Cuomo

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY): 101,793,215 PV, 397 EV
Pres. Donald Trump (R-FL): 33,911,646 PV, 140 EV

Tried to crack 400 EVs as (I think) the worst/most difficult candidate, post-scandal "Crooked" Andrew Cuomo. Almost got it with MT.

This is interesting, especially the Ralph Nader scenario. Was this based off of the 270towin simulators?

1988: Keep Hope Alive

Rvd. Jesse Jackson (D-DC): 93,830,578 PV, 368 EV
Vice Pres. George H.W. Bush (R-MA): 41,874,286 PV, 170 EV

Interestingly enough, Bush wins every state when I simulate this matchup on President Elect 1988. The only way to make Jackson competitive is to make his opponent Pat Buchanan.

No, it's not that sophisticated unfortunately. Smile  If I just sat back and observed, the results wouldn't resemble reality at all. Probably better than chance, though, since the candidates have penalties and advantages in certain states. I just try to aim for what l personally think is the ceiling for that particular candidate.

1980: The Dream Shall Never Die

Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA): 63,667,412 PV, 281 EV
Fmr. Gov. Ronald Reagan (R-CA): 72,037,452 PV, 257 EV

Kennedy loses the PV but narrowly wins the (1980) EC. This was a loss for me on the 2020 EC map though.

IL is probably a little too far, I know, Smile but let's say Huckabee's African American support carries him there, especially as Obama is denied the nom.

1912: Teddy

Gov. Woodrow Wilson (D-NJ) 50,288,928 PV, 282 EV
Fmr. Pres. Teddy Roosevelt (P-NY): 50,645,056 PV, 155 EV
Pres. William Taft (R-OH) 34,770,890 PV, 94 EV

Lost despite winning PV. Not a Wilson win on the game using 2020 EC, though, but rather results in a contingent election.
