Define "should." From a moral standpoint, they should, but they're not interested in morality. If it helps win them the war, that's what they'll do, even if it's a war crime.

lets say your whataboutism is true, can you still answer the question?  Do you think Russia should continue to commit war crimes?  For how long?  If Russia shoots another 100 missiles at apartment buildings, would that be enough to make it "even" for the war crimes you are suggesting Ukraine committed in, ahem, Ukraine?  Does Russia get no blame from you for starting this whole thing 9 years ago or do you just hand wave that away or worse, come up with some fantastical reason Russia simply had to invade?  Bonus points if you answer that question without mentioning Iraq.

I appreciate that you have an impossible task here, defending Russia in 2023 is an epic challenge.  So feel free to hide under your bed (like children all across Ukraine have had to do many times over the last year and a half) and not answer this questions.

Tbf to PSOL he isn't really pro-Russia - if they were genuine Stalinists he might be, though
