14th Lincoln General Court Opening - Election of a Speaker

Today is the day set by the Third Lincoln Constitution for the convening of the 14th Lincoln General Court — being the Dean of the Court, I declare the Lincoln General Court will come to order!

Deputies — please swear in on the appropriate thread — failure to do so may result in forfeiture of office. I will also take this opportunity to remind members of the activity requirements in our constitution — missing 4 final votes in a row, or 8 within the session, will result in being automatically recalled from office.

Pursuant to the SOAP, the first order of business is to elect the Speaker.

I will now accept nominations for the office of the Speaker. Deputies shall have 24 hours to make such nominations, after which we will vote between the nominated candidates.
