1998 Gubernatorial Primary (Republican): Richards won 99 votes, good for a plurality victory of 27%
2002 Gubernatorial election (as the Nebraska Party Lt. Gov candidate): Rosberg/Richards won 77 votes, good for 15% and second place
2006 Gubernatorial election (as the Nebraska Party Gov Candidate): Won 112 votes, good for 23% and second place
Granted, Richards lives in Hayes County. So it's nice that at least one third party candidate can get a good percentage from his home county
