Yes. I don't mean that as a slur either, he actually fits the real definition of one. I mean, if he lived in the UK, what would his party be? BNP. France? Front Nationale. Italy? National Alliance, unless he lived in the north where it'd be Norther League. He's a real fascist.

Ok, since you've made an introductory paragraph . . . why not explain how he is a fascist?  Examples?

Exactly.  Any idiot can make a conclusion; it requires at least half a brain to start explaining why.

As I explained above, he would fit right in with European fascist parties.

Rarely do I call people stupid outright, but today I will make an exception for you.  The only thing you did is make a comparrison to the equivalent political parties Tancredo would be in.  You have yet to explain why.

Sir, you like the idea of banning smoking in public bars.  This kind of regulation is economically fascist.  I could actually make a case here to liken you to fascism.  You however, have nothing.

Now go away and drink yourself into a Bacardi Limon stupor while playing Cute is what we aim for continuously until you reach insanity. kthxbye.

No, that's communist. Tancredo's xenophobia on the other hand, is quite common of fascism.

Communism is the direct ownership of property by the government and the means of getting it.  Fascism on the other hand is allowing individuals to own property with ties to arbitrary rules that the state sets-such as no smoking in bars.

Tancredo's xenophobia's really nothing new.  Eisenhower was able to fix the immigration problem we had at the time-I doubt he'd be considered a fascist.  A majority of the country takes the stance against illegal immigration and against amnesty.

False. Not even a majority in Texas or Georgia.

Compare his stance on immigration to the fascist parties I mentioned. It's basically the same thing.

Sort of, but he's not collectivist enough to be a real hardcore Mussolini-Hitler type fascist.

*sigh*

Ok, let's go at it this way.  The concepts usually attributed to fascism are:

Nationalistic:  Has he called for turning the nation inward?  No.
Authoritarian:  Has he called for the creation of a single-power police state?  No.
Militarism:  Is militarizing the border the same as militarizing the nation?  That's probably debatable.
Corporatism:  Does he report to and/or empower an unelected body that exerts control over a region or industry?  If you don't count his constituents, none comes to mind.
Collectivism:  Does he endorse the Borg mentality?  No.

So far, you're striking out.

WRONG.

You had a skewed response type poll.  The poll asked whether they should be deported or granted citizenship.  It never even had the option of denying citizenship, or building a wall, or cutting illegals off from social services.

You tend to like card stacking though-hence the title of this thread and your reasoning.  You're at college (for what, 5 years now?)-you should be able to reason a little bit better than you do.

Broadly speaking, yes, like all Republicans.  Whether his views and policy propositions are precisely in agreement with fascism in every respect is not really the question - he supports fascism with his party membership and votes.

No he's not a fascist, usually fascists have an economically left-wing bent to them, although this is not completely the case Allianza Nacionale and Vlaams Belang are economically to the right, but he doesn't have the corporatists spirit of a true fascist. While I would have to say that he is quite Le Pen-esque in his anti-immigration rhetoric he doesn't have the wanton disregard of democracy that is a hallmark of fascism.

I also don't think he'd be a BNP supporter. He'd most likely lie in the Euroskeptic/anti-immigration wing of the Tories or he may possibly be a UKIPper.

No, he's not a fascist, but he is an opportunist who feeds on people's fears of different-looking and behaving people. If not for Tancredo, those fears would coalesce around some other politician.

That is a ridiculous statement and exactly what I was pointing to earlier
