please describe this person, and let's say their first election was 1952 and their last was 2012 and only once did they vote for the Democratic presidential ticket in all of those 60 years as a voter (Mondale-Ferraro).

A staunch fiscal conservative who thought that cutting taxes on the rich while jacking up mikitary spending was a disaster and respected Mondale’s honesty in saying he’d raise taxes. This same person would obviously later have qualms about supporting W and Trump but still see them as lesser evils.

I know someone like this, albeit younger. The GOP's lurch to the right in Reagan's first term was too much for him but by 1988 he was used to it. Asenath Waite's description comes closest.
