These states may very well be the most opposite states.
The voted differently in 43 elections.
They both flipped in 1964. Before that Georgia had never voted Republican and Vermont had never voted for a Democrat.

They occasionally voted the same prior to 1856, and have voted together five times from 1972-2020:
1972, 1984, 1988, 1992, and 2020.
