The embargo is mostly supported by conservative Cuban-Americans. Could the GOP trend reduce the need for Democrats to appease voters that are already abandoning Democrats?

Yes immigration is all politics.  If it were white men wearing MAGA hats coming in through the Mexican border, then a wall would've been finished before the 2016 primary.
