Expulsion Proceedings: Muad'dib (Tabled)

In accordance with the Vote or Die Resolution, expulsion proceedings shall begin for Senator Muad'dib, who has failed to vote or participate at all in the Senate since May 3rd without posting a LOA.

1. Article VIII, Section 4 of the Senate Rules and Procedures shall be amended as follows:

4.) Expulsion proceedings shall be initiated if:

A Senator misses ten or more consecutive final votes over the span of more than three weeks or all final votes in three consecutive weeks unless the Senator has posted a valid Leave of Absence in either the Atlasia Elections or Atlasia Government threads.

I don't intend on keeping this on the floor past the minimum length of time. I understand Muad'dib is busy right now, but he never indicated that he would be absent and it's been well over three weeks now.

It just seems you all want to punish someone for having a life outside of this, which is sad.

Nope. But when you run for office, you make a commitment. Things happen, but at some point the game has to move on. He hasn't done a single thing in this body in a month, and didn't even have the decency to post an LOA. It's time to remove him from the body. When he does come back, nothing we are doing will prevent him from running again.

I really have nothing against Muad'dib as a person (I'm quite happy for him!) but we need to enforce the rule change we just adopted. AFE and nerd73 have been advised to participate in more votes. Laki and Pericles both chose to resign.

YT didn't order him to boycott anything, nor has he been told to do so at any point. He was literally in the US with me the last 3 weeks with no service on his phone most of the trip and just arrived back home today. Scott has also been aware of this pretty much the whole time.
