Republicans = conservative (red)
New Republicans = center-right (green)
Democratic = center-left (blue)
Progressive: Liberal (yellow)

As you'll note, some of these don't add up to 270, the assumption is the person with the most EVs wins.

If you are starting in 1968 you may be better off going with

American Independent (Southern Conservative)= conservative (red) Wallace
Republicans = center-right (green) Nixon
Democratic = center-left (blue) Humphrey
Progressive: Liberal (yellow) McGovern
