Canada: NDP, maybe conservative depending on who's running
Australia: Mainly labor but I might vote for a liberal depending on who it is

Voted for option 2

NDP/Labor for me, so option 2.

For the right candidate I could be persuaded to vote Green in either country.

I'm a Canadian and have been a Conservative voter since I was old enough to vote. Probably would vote Liberal (centre-right party) in Australia.

Option 2 - most Aus elections I vote Greens but put Labor over Liberal, in Canada I'd usually vote NDP but find Canada as things stand the mother of all hot messes politically.

Definltely Not Liberal in Australia.  In Canada I suspect my default would be NDP but I'd vote tactically for Liberals against the Conservatives.

I like the ALP more than I probably should. I can't see there being any election in which I would have preferenced the Liberals (or its sister parties and predecessors) above them.

Canadian politics is a more difficult subject. I suspect that would have been times, at least at a provincial level, in which I'd have voted Tory (although probably not the current incarnation of the past twenty years or so). The PCs were sometimes more progressive than conservative and there's also the issue of Liberal corruption to consider.

Australia: Probably for the Teal Independents. Greens before that.

Canada: Tories all the way. I'd vote for Jagmeet or Bernier before I cast a vote for Trudeau.

Canada - I would be a Liberal voter for the most part. However, in provincial and local elections, I would vote for the NDP on certain occasions or for certain candidates.

Australia - Australia's Liberal Party is an oxymoron. I don't know enough about Australian politics, and it seems to be very weird. However, I would generally vote for the Australian Labor Party but would also, on occasion, vote for the Greens.

The Conservative Party of Canada is actually a much better fit for me than the GOP, and I could vote for them pretty enthusiastically.

By contrast, the Australian (and British) main right-wing parties seem much worse than the GOP. (I think this is maybe tied to urbanization? Or cultural distance from the United States?) Australia's electoral system would also push me to preference minor parties, just because in general I support a multi-party system and I think minor parties are good. I would probably preference the Liberals over the ALP in practice, but I wouldn't be very enthusiastic about them.

Theoretically Not-Coalition and Liberal respectively, but I'd probably be more open to voting for the center-right party in both countries than I would for the US GOP.
