Well I'm gonna be honest, I think it should be go to the most capable person. Anyone wanna give a brief rundown?

I'm guessing Joe Biden's endorsement would be vital to win?
i dont see biden endorsing in primaries

It's actually kind of fascinating how few primary endorsements he has made as president. The only one I remember is Shontel Brown over ultra-left Nina Turner.

Did Obama make a lot of primary endorsements when he was president?

I think he endorsed Kurt Schrader in his primary.

Eliot Spitzer ran for NYC Comptroller after he resigned the governorship, though he lost the primary.

Jerry Brown of course, but not in immediate succession.

Totally a Delaware move though, given how much New Castle and Wilmington dominate the state and the Democratic party. Similar but not identical things have happened in other small states where offices normally incomparable in power are more equivalent.
