Thank you, Mr. Speaker. In this time of crisis and uncertainty, I believe it is necessary to reinstate the National Guard of Lincoln. LC 5.13, the Lincoln Regional Defense Act, was first implemented in response to a number of serious threats made against the people of Lincoln. We face those very same conditions today, as unfortunate as that may be. It is our duty to take the precautions needed to secure and defend this region. I urge swift passage of this bill.
