Of all the great athletes in the world that never won a championship out of their talent, who was the best in your mind?

Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson, Don Mattingly, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., Jim Thome, etc.

Barkley was the first who came to mind. To my recollection, none of the NBA players who had their powers stolen in Space Jam ever won a championship.

Shows how hard it is to be a talented athlete/team and win championships. You gotta give Russell, Glavine, Jeter, MJ, Tiger, Bird, McHale, Brady, Montana, Aikman, Gretzky, Pele, Maradona, Serena credit.

They are talented at their sport and entertaining people. Period.

Some athletes are so good, they don't get to a playoff round let alone a championship. It's about luck.

NFL: Marino- who really should be the overall answer. I agree with the consensus that Brady is the GOAT QB but Marino's stats were god-tier for when he played with how much harder it was to throw the ball. He was so far ahead of any of his contemporaries. Some people like Dick Butkus and Bruce Smith on the defensive end.

NBA- Malone and Stockton, who I really can't separate due to them both making the other better. Harden is next up.

MLB- Ted Williams, then Griffey
