Had this question while reading the Laki v. YT trial thread.



Interested to see what others think on the matter. Lets take the present situation out of it and just contemplate say a situation with a election law violation for example. Would it be possible to get a conviction on an open and shut case related to election laws?

Sure. Punishment would be limited to voting and office holding Bans but it could be done. It probably would have happened to LT if Crane didn't waste a month plus trying to make Lincoln secede because he wasn't retained as LGC Speaker after Labor lost its then-majority. I hope it happens in YT's case.

The mere possibility of a particularly dumb and/or unlucky defendant should not be discounted, but that is distinct from such a conviction being a done deal.
You can get lucky in court. This is true both in-game and IRL.
