If NBA superstar Michael Jordan endorsed Democrat Harvey Gantt against controversial Sen. Jesse Helms two or three weeks before November 6's midterm election....how would it have fared?
A lot of people feel Jordan is a sellout because he never advocated for black people and civil rights during his time as an athlete, but Jordan famously said "Republicans wear sneakers too"....he did not want to alienate Republicans...and he also was focused on winning a championship that year (1990-91) which he did.
