Springer’s passing today had me thinking about his almost-candidacy for Ohio governor in 2018. Let’s say he ran. How would he do against Mike DeWine and would he have outperformed Cordray? I have to think he would have on name recognition alone and also think this would’ve been one of the most talked about races in the nation.
