No. Like @Alben Barkley said a couple times, Donald Trump is surrounded by a cult of personality in rural parts of the US.

It's Spring 2023---anything can happen, but probably in mid-November 2022, maybe...

There was a break during the fallout of the midterms. The GOP just did what it usually do and screwed it up. Now they stuck with him.

Yep, if DeSantis would've launched right after the midterms, I think we'd be in a much different place.

And he hasn't played his cards right afterwards either. The party had a chance to drop Trump then but not enough blame was placed on him for their mediocre showing in the midterms.  In fact they just rallied around him more.

The primary hasn't even started?

His numbers were lower after the midterms, in which many of his desired candidates lost. Whether he would have been beatable is another question. He wasn't even formally in the race until late November.

Of course he was and sort of still is but the problem is no prominent Republicans are willing to do what it takes. Now that his competition has surrendered, the nomination is his.

This.

He remains beatable for the primary, but everyone belives he'll poison the chalice if he doesn't get the nomination, and thus successfully keeps the GOP in thrall to him.

Yes. The only time prior to the midterms that I felt Trump was unbeatable was the immediate aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid. Prior to that and immediately after that I thought he was beatable. Post Indictment not only have the Republican base rallied behind him, but it's become clear the GOP has learned nothing from 2016, taking on extreme positions on Abortion, SS/Medicare, and cultural issues, allowing Trump, as he did in 2016, to brand himself as the moderate Republican on those issues and this is despite the fact that Trump appointed three of the six justices that overturned Roe and appointed the wacky Texas Judge that banned the pill.

That is basically my view.

He still is beatable, but the candidate that beats him will have to convince his supporters that not only can he/she win, but that electing them is not returning the GOP to Paul Ryan mode.

Yes, obviously. He’s still beatable now, even if he has a very healthy lead at the moment.

I don't think so. Trump has the most devout following of any of the candidates. Unless the field is cleared for one non-Trump candidate, there is no chance he loses. And DeSantis isn't going to be the one to take him down. He's too rattled anytime he has to think on his feet or is challenged. If Trump actually debates DeSantis, he will destroy him.
