"They basically put the polling places next to the student dorms so they just have to roll out of bed, vote, and go back to bed."

Imagine thinking that's a bad thing. Voting should be that convenient for every single eligible voter in the country.

Except of course at conservative colleges.  Then we want the polling places inside the dorm rooms.

Hijack the law to make sure the opposition's base (or whatever group you think will be the opposition's base) doesn't vote.

They're exercising their legal right to vote, the horror!

By the way the Republicans have huge voter banks where people go to their church and vote. In states with huge retirement communities there are voter precincts everywhere, where the GOP also banks huge votes. Have you ever seen a co-ordinated campaign by the Democratic Party to get rid of these places?

It's insane to suggest you wouldn't want legal voters to cast legal ballots, and still have people voting for you. This is what the modern day GOP is chock full of and it's why I've found it increasingly difficult to have any sense of 'respect' for people who can still cast a GOP ballot. There's simply no way to make this acceptable and we all know it isn't just student votes that the GOP views as 'expendable'.

I want rural areas to be well staffed with quality voting apparatus' within easy means of all rural voters, and I want the same for all other eligible voters regardless of their living situation. That's what really believing in a democracy means.

Why are you so afraid of people voting that you’ll go to extreme lengths to stop people from doing so? I thought we were a “constitutional republic.” I’m pretty sure impeding others’ right to vote duly provided for under the laws of this republic is blatantly unconstitutional.

I say mandate each precinct is the same size population wise, let’s see how rural people like that. Also mandate that people get a special voting ID which is only issued at each state capital and any city greater than 100,000 people in size.

Very telling this twat talks about college students rolling out of bed to their nearby precincts and then rolling right back to bed. Typical Boomer or Gen X whining over millennials which needs a universal STFU.

It’s not shocking. Republicans only believe in democracy so far as they can control it and bend it to their will. So essentially they don’t.

Republicans fall more and more in love with Authoritarianism every day it seems like.

Republicans hate freedom, they hate democracy, they hate elections.

They want power, they LOVE power.

The GOP's message to parents of college age kids: We want them to drown in debt, be forced to give birth, and make it a pain in the ass for them to vote.

In a literal sense of the word it is. At least until someone that doesn't call climate change a "Chinese hoax" is the standard bearer that those voters rally around or that gen dies off, whichever comes first.
