I can't imagine it happens in this decade or in the next one. Who knows beyond that?

This is the real grain of truth here ... 2043 is as far away as 2003 is, and look how different our politics are. People (especially younger, hyper-political posters on here) think we are in this special alignment right now that is just SO polarized that each new decade will be a more exaggerated extension of the dynamics we see now ... but I'm quite skeptical.

Not anytime in this current political alignment. TN is 7 points to the right of IN, and I don't see that converging further anytime soon
