And Nebraska and Wyoming have their state universities in Lincoln

Lancaster County. Frustratingly, Dukakis and Clinton barely lost it (twice, in the case of the latter).

He was stronger in several rural counties with Democratic traditions- he polled 44 percent in Butler, where Kerry received 26 percent. Lancaster follows the classic university pattern in other ways, though, as it was the best county for Anderson and Nader.

Cheesy Yeah, Reagan barely cracked 50 percent.

btw, he carried my county 44-42. Anderson took 10 percent, but that wasn't the reason- an antinuke activist won 3 percent, his second-best showing in the country. Mondale won 51-49 in '84.
