Happy Easter!  Really wanted to find a new church in Chicago and attend a service this year, but we had to do our family vacation these week to make it work with everyone’s schedules … so I’m celebrating sentimentally in the islands!  And all the churches here are Catholic, so that’s a no-go. 😜

Easter is often celebrated in the East after it is celebrated in the west. Both Easters occur in the Spring. East Easter is never before West Easter, but sometimes they are One Easter, when they are on the same day. So there is Easter (on the same day), West Easter, and East Easter. I prefer the Eastern day because it tends to be warmer. The only time I celebrate Easter is the first one, when I am invited somewhere.

Confusing isn't it? That's what you get with schisms.

Etymology is interesting but my point was more about that there are usually two different dates for Easter and many people don't seem to know this. How many people know how the dates are determined? I don't know, but it seems rather arbitrary.
It isn't "wrong", per se to call them both Easter.
