McCain. GOP tends to nominate the next in line (Reagan '80, Bush '88, Dole '96)

Isn't there an identical thread that's just ~2 or 3 days old?  Why not just bump that poll back to the front page, rather than start a new one?

If I'm playing it safe I'll say Giuliani.

If I want to bet on the outside shot I'd say Huckabee.

Probably McCain.  But I checked "other".  Because I have a feeling it's going to be a three way race well into primary season.

McCain -- Romney -- and...

(prepare to ridicule and lampoon me)

Duncan Hunter.

I think Rudy isn't going to make it very far for personal reasons.  There are just too many skeletons in his closet concerning his libido, his temper and yes, his health.  (Didn't he have cancer awhile ago?) Rudy will be back, to be sure -- maybe as a Gubernatorial candidate or perhaps he will run for Senate.  But he won't survive the primary.

So why Hunter?  From what I have heard, he is very well-funded.  Better than a lot of people realize.  He's getting rave reviews from the far right and he has more traction with voters than Tancredo on immigration issues.

McCain probably still wins the primary.  But I checked other just to make it interesting.  I would LOVE to see this thing come right down to the wire (convention time) in BOTH parties.  Hunter will make it interesting.

Now watch.  Tomorrow, he'll withdraw from the race citing a lack of support.

LOL

Oh well -- it wouldn't be my first sh*tty prediction!

I THINK Rudy will win it, but I would like to see Gilmore or Newt get it instead.  They would be better.
