Doubt it changes anything, Access Hollywood, Mueller Report, Impeachment, Woodward Tapes, Impeachment 2.0 didn't seem to matter, so I doubt something over a year and a half before the election does much damage.

LoL Biden doesn't have 38 Approvals with a Trump indictment, he's gonna win by a landslide

It's 20 mnths til Eday Trump will get more in trouble as the process goes on he has more indictments coming J6 and GA

Yup. Certainly does him no favor, though we've become so polarized, it doesn't have that much of an effect and might not be a top-concern in October/November 2024. Usually this should finish off any serious candidate, but... well.

It helps Biden because he has 3 more indictments coming GA, J6 and DOCUGATE, Biden has Docugate too but they aren't voting our Biden for Trump over the insurrection

It's clear Hunter stole money from the Govt through Docugate with unpaid taxes but they can't tie Biden himself to stealing money, but Trump stole money by not paying taxes directly that's the difference between Docugate Biden v Trump and it's 20 mnths waves happen Oct 24 not now as did 2018 we were only supposed to pick up 10 seats but wave happen in Oct 18

It doesn't affect his chances at all. The country is numb to all his scandals.

You do realize the Polls said RS were supposed to win AK with Palin and get 240 seats in the H with the same 38/61 Approvals they have now, we still have to vote as always

I’d say anyone besides Cruz and Jeb would have beat Hillary pretty convincingly, so I disagree that those things did not matter.

Definitely hurts him but how much is up in the air. I don’t think he had much chance of winning the general before the indictment given the midterm results and this diminishes his chances even further.

It definitely hurts him RS have zero chance to win a 303 state and as I said before will have trouble in red STATES, the RS keep trying to tie Biden to Docugate and Hunter not Biden didn't pay his taxes you can't convict in a Trial someone that's not Biden himself but his son that's why when Ukraine investigate Hunter Biden, Biden himself was cleared because only his son committed crimes, Trump has done everything himself

If you think the trial is political, then Democrats will scedule it to start in September.

With the trial concluded after the election in case of a not guilty verdict, and before an inauguration in case Trump wins and pardons himself, although that wont prevent his inauguration or self pardon even in jail.

The verdict will depend entirely upon the political alliegiance of the jurors, Democrats would need all jurors to be Biden voters, something easy in Manhattan, I say 50-50 they have all 12.

The outcome of the election though will depend on the Biden Administration avoiding a major crisis, not on the trial.

Here are the basics:
