How would you react if both the Senate and House flipped next year?

Let’s say that Rs flip WV, OH, MT, and WV, while the Ds flip the House narrowly (219-216).

The map is being goofy, but you get the idea.

I wouldn't be that surprised. Democrats have some low-hanging fruit (as do Republicans), but the non-Atlas blue team only needs to net like five seats. On the other hand, it's next to impossible for Democrats to hold the Senate next year, given that they must win two of Texas, Ohio, and Montana.

I have been worried about this scenario, but I suppose this would be better than just the Senate flipping.

This is what I expect to happen. It likely means Biden won as well.

Yeah, I think that’s the modal outcome.

I would not be that surprised, but would be interested to see the actual composition.

If the house is flipping that likely means Nevada is staying Democratic.

It looks like a landslide but waves don't happen untilOct 24

This is the median outcome as of the moment, so my surprise levels would be in the negatives if that happened.

Pleased with the House, indifferent about the Senate.

Totally unsurprised. The most likely outcome in case Biden wins reelection. Maybe unless he wins in a landslide.

Currently the most probable outcome.

I appreciate the novelty of it having never happened before (the houses flipping in opposite directions in the same election), but it's not a good outcome. If I had to choose, I'd rather have a Senate majority than a House majority.
