DeSantis is formidable because he is young. A Biden-DeSantis debate would be sad.
It sure worked out for Paul Ryan!

Democrats want to run against Trump . Republican voters : You need to vote for DeSantis to ensure democrats don’t get what they want from this witch-hunt

Why is this a "witch hunt"?

Democrats are charging him over something like this so he can look like a poltical martyr to republicans as they want to run against Trump in 2024.

The Democratic Party doesn’t control the Manhattan DA though.

People are over the Stormy Daniels bulls**t and have been since 2018. This is ridiculous.

Good thing the justice system doesn’t make decisions based on what people are “over” or not.

We have for decades :

Nixon
Clinton
Wall Street Bakers
People behind GITMO

Etc

Are you really suggesting that is a good thing?

Much as this is hard for Republicans to grasp, the Justice Department is not at the beck and call of the President, and the Attorney-General is not the President's personal lawyer.

The Manhatten  DA is an elected democrat though and he certainly wants to see the democrats run against Trump .

I'd very much like Republicans to nominate someone other than those two, considering they are both horrifying options.

Do we? Should we? It seems we would be far more likely to win a general election with Trump sniping at the Republican nominee from the sidelines (maybe even explicitly saying don't vote for the guy) than we would against a party that will inevitably line up in 100% support of nominee Trump.

I was in the kitchen eating dinner and had NBC on when this thing dropped. One of the commentators mentioned Trump was offered to show up and testify, "but he would be under oath and would have to tell the truth." I laughed out loud.

This is the most bootlicking post I've ever read. And Dick Cheney should be executed for war crimes.

I’m not a populist . I despise the fact we are in populist era and really wish our politics went  back to the 1980-2008 consensus even though that won’t happen.

I do think the bankers should have been prosecuted but that’s the only one of the 4

I hope raw-dogging a porn star was worth it.

As nice as it would be to see Trump in handcuffs, the hush money payments probably won't hold up in appeals court. Or the court of public opinion. The Fulton County case is both legally sound and good public relations wise.

The court of public opinion will probably not care outside of his base and biggest detractors.
So basically, nothing stopping 45-47% of the country voting for him again in 2024 as if nothing happened. Sounds right

Pretty much, though I was also making the point that this probably won't gain him any new support either even as it inflames those who were already always going to vote for him.

The consensus of trickle down economics, endless wars and the imperial presidency? You're damn right we're never going back to that era and thank God we aren't.

My sources are saying the death penalty, for fraud. I am pro-life and take no pleasure in reporting this.

Should Clinton have gone to prison for perjury then . This is literally the equivalent of that and the answer is obviously Clinton should not have .

Breaking decades of precedent over this is beyond moronic

Bold of you to assume anyone in 2023 is going to bother defending Bill Clinton.
