With his talk of making nice with the Soviets, Wallace would almost certainly be impeached and removed from office as the Cold War begins.

Who would be his VP? Truman? Marshall? Whoever that is becomes President and presumably loses to Dewey (or possibly even Eisenhower) in 1948.
