This is actually a result of Eli Lilly making more money from GLP products. Trulicity and Mounjaro, the most effective medications for insulin control (as well as medications with strong weight loss properties) are not eligible for the Copay assist program. Look at the earnings from those verticals.

I'm sure Novo Nordisk will do the same with their non-GLP products, because their money from Ozempic, Wegovy, and Saxenda nowadays.

What Biden should do is what's popular in Europe, and buy out the patents for semaglutide/dulaglutide and the like.
