We shouldn't support Israel even when it is a democracy, as long as the Haredi parties are in government.

This is always something interesting to me, the hatred some secular Jews have towards religious counterparts.

Is this still anti-semitism? Is it advanced anti-semitism? Nobody knows...

Give the Jewish people their own state but only if they aren't Jewish. 🤣🤣🤣

What's the point of supporting the existence of Israel of the people in it aren't Jewish anyway? Zionism was already a fragile, shaky, and baseless theory but if so many Israelis dont even support Judaism, how can they justify supporting Israel's existence?

Anti-Haredi sentiment extends beyond Reform/secular Jews in Israel. I knew a guy who got conscripted into the IDF who resented both Reform Jews (because he believed they failed to keep the faith alive) and Haredis. Haredi parties have managed to get them exempt from various forms of national service, including conscription, on religious grounds - this doesn’t always play well with similarly devout Israelis who don’t have these exemptions.

I am religious, first of all.

Second, opposing Haredi parties in government is no different than opposing far-right evangelicals in government in America. They are the Southern Baptists of Judaism, after all.
