If a progressive Chief Justice is eventually confirmed in New York, won't there be a relitigation of the congressional map?
Possibly, however they have exactly the 2/3rds needed to pass a new map in the state senate, and can only lose 2 votes in the Assembly, so it's a close call. Note one state senate Dem already voted for LaSalle, so that might be the end of the line for passing a new map.
The other possibility would be suing to get the 2022 decision vacated and the original 2021 map reinstated. IDK if that could work.
