BREAKING: HUTCHINSON, STAPLETON DROP OUT

After the 2024 Iowa Caucus, two candidates made the decision to drop out of the race: former Governor Asa Hutchinson and former Secretary Corey Stapleton. Both candidates had put forth strong campaigns, but ultimately decided that their chances of success were too slim to continue.

In his speech announcing his withdrawal, Governor Hutchinson said, “Although I have enjoyed this campaign, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot win the nomination. I am proud of the campaign we ran and the issues we raised. I will continue to fight for the values I believe in, and I wish all of the remaining candidates the best of luck.”

Meanwhile, Secretary Stapleton said in his own statement, “After much consideration and reflection, I have decided to end my campaign for the presidency. I want to thank all of the individuals and organizations who supported me during this process. I will continue to work to ensure that the American people have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.”

Although both candidates had significant support and ran strong campaigns, the Iowa Caucus proved to be a decisive factor in the race. The two candidates were unable to garner the necessary support to move forward, and ultimately, they decided to withdraw. Hutchinson endorsed DeSantis, while Stapleton endorsed Pompeo.

DeSantis is going to win New Hampshire I think while Haley likely wins her Home State of South Carolina. Surprised Tim Scott hasn't dropped out.

How did Youngkin win the Governorship with a GOP President?

(Easiest way to deal with this is to say that Lee Carter won the Democratic nomination and lost)

The same way he won in OTL. McAuliffe was overall a weak candidate and in my timeline, Youngkin still barely wins, appealing to his moderate side even with Trump's endorsement. I went back and forth with it but ultimately let that election be.

BREAKING: POMPEO WITHDRAWS, ENDORSES PENCE

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced his decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race right before the South Carolina Primary and Nevada Caucus. In a speech delivered on the steps of the Capitol building, Pompeo declared, “My service to this great nation is not yet complete. I must continue to serve in order to make the world a better place.”

His name had been mentioned in the same breath as Donald Trump and other notable Republicans, and his name recognition and broad base of support had made him a potential frontrunner.

Pompeo was seen as a uniting force in the Republican party, as his centrist views and ability to bridge the gap between the party’s various factions had made him a popular choice for many. His foreign policy experience and international relations acumen were seen as major assets, and he had emerged as a leading voice in the debate on how best to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. Pompeo also announced his decision to endorse Vice President Pence.

BREAKING: HOGAN, PAUL, PENCE, SCOTT DROP OUT AND SHAKE GOP RACE

The field of candidates for the 2024 Presidential Election is drastically different after the Nevada Caucus and South Carolina Primary. Four notable figures have dropped out of the race: Governor Larry Hogan, Senator Rand Paul, Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Tim Scott.

Governor Larry Hogan began his speech with, “I want to thank the thousands of people who helped us in this race. We ran a positive campaign focused on bringing people together.” He went on to say that he was proud of the ideas he shared on the campaign trail and that he will continue to fight for them in other ways. He then endorsed Governor Youngkin for the nomination.

Senator Rand Paul, who was considered a longshot for the nomination, said, “I'm proud of the ideas and principles I fought for in this race. My focus will now be on advancing my agenda in the Senate and fighting for the rights of all Americans.” Paul endorsed Ambassador Haley.

Vice President Mike Pence, who had been a frontrunner in the race, said, “It has been an honor to serve the American people as Vice President, and I will never forget the opportunities I had to represent the United States around the world.” He went on to say that he was proud of the accomplishments of the Trump Administration and that he would continue to serve the country in other ways. Pence endorsed Governor Youngkin.

Senator Tim Scott, who was seen as a rising star in the race, said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared my ideas and vision for the future of our country. I will continue to fight for what I believe in and will continue to be a voice for those who are not heard.” He went on to say that he would continue to work to create a more unified and prosperous nation. Scott endorsed Ambassador Haley for the nomination.

Though these four candidates have dropped out of the race, their impact on the 2024 Presidential Election is still felt. Their speeches have motivated people across the country and their ideas will still be discussed in the months to come.

My guess if Haley does become the Nominee she probably picks someone like Rubio for VP. Long way to go though!

BREAKING: YOUNGKIN DROPS OUT, ENDORSES HALEY

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race after Super Tuesday. Youngkin had been seen as a potentially strong contender in the race, but ultimately was unable to secure enough delegates on Super Tuesday to remain viable.

In his speech announcing his withdrawal, Youngkin said, “Over the past few months, I have been privileged to meet incredible people who, like me, are passionate about our country’s future and determined to make it a better place for all. I have been inspired by their commitment and their willingness to put their beliefs and ideals ahead of their own individual interests.”

Youngkin had entered the race with a platform of fiscal responsibility and economic growth, but was unable to gain enough momentum to keep up with the other candidates in the race. With his departure, the GOP race has now narrowed to just two candidates: former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, in which Youngkin endorsed Haley for the nomination.

SUPER TUESDAY AFTERMATH AND VICTORY SPEECHES

In a shock to many, JB Pritzker and Nikki Haley emerged victorious in their respective party's primaries and caucuses on Super Tuesday. Governor Pritzker and Ambassador Haley won every single contest, dominating the field.

In his victory speech, Governor Pritzker highlighted the diversity of his campaign and said, "Tonight we united our party around a positive vision for the future of our country. I am humbled and honored by the support I have been shown by the people of this great nation, and I look forward to leading our party to victory in November." While Governor Pritzker is the likely nominee for the Democrats at this point, his comments angered some of his Democratic rivals vowing that the race is not over.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Haley thanked her supporters in her victory speech and said, "I am tremendously grateful to the voters of America for their support. This victory is not mine alone, it is a victory for all of us who believe in a better, brighter future for our country. Together, we will move our nation forward."
