Has been strongly against the war from the beginning:
Barack Obama

See, democrats are gonna try and rally around an anti-war candidate, but while that may work in the primary, it probably won't work in the general.

Yes, but America will not elect an anti-war democrat. McCain wants to end Iraq as soon and best we can. So does Hillary. Kucinich, and Edwards want OUT NOW. If the "out now" people go up to the general election, they will not win.

Nevermind the fact that something along the lines of 55% of Americans want U.S. troops out of Iraq within a year or so, which is about the timeframe it would take for any of the aforementioned individuals to withdraw all the troops.

But yeah, you're right. The Democrats can't win in 2008. After eight years of atrocious leadership, incompetent foreign policy, and a mediocre economy, Americans are just going to demand more of the same!

You mean McCain wants to stay there until the Iraqis can fend for themselves or in terms of what we in the real world call reality stay there forever, because quite simply its not going to happen.  The American people are not going to vote for someone who wants to prolong this disaster.

The Democrats can't win in 2008. After eight four years of atrocious leadership, incompetent foreign policy, and a mediocre economy, Americans are just going to demand more of the same!

It worked for Bush in 2004.

I have a cousin that served in Lebanon. He knew a lot of those 243 Marines killed in that bombing. He really hates Reagan.

Yes, but the Democratic Nominee was a joke who couldn't even defend his own military service. With luck, the '08 nominee will run a more adroit campaign.

IMO, if the national "mood" remains constant, it's going to be very difficult for the Republicans to retain the White House. But hey, we can all count on the Democratic Nominee to say/do something stupid and blow what should be an easy victory.

Its true that the majority of Americans want to get out of Iraq ASAP.  Everyone in their right mind wants to get out of Iraq ASAP.  McCain's approach of waiting until the Iraqi's can fend for themselves is not good, but neither is Kucinich's plan of getting out immediately.  I think the answer is somewhere in between both plans, probably leaning more toward Kucinich's side.

I advocate pulling all but 10,000 or so troops home by June 2008, within 15 months of right now.  We should leave a very small remnant of troops in Iraq, not for combat purposes, but for peace-keeping purposes.  Thats kind of what we did in Bosnia and Kosovo in the late 1990s.  Of course, those two couldn't even compare to the quagmire we are in right now.  We need to keep the remnant there until January 2010, an extra 18 months after the rest leave.

Hillary Clintion has constenly flipped-flopped on the war for example back in 2003 she said she was for a troop surge, Now she's against it.

Now while  disagree with Hillary on Iraq that is a little stupid.  Yes she favored a trrop surge in 03 because she thought at that point it would work, now she  feels rightly so I might add that too much damage has been done and a surge will not work.

I am becoming more and more against the Iraqi quagmire as the weeks go by with no indication by this administration or the Congress for that matter that it wants to finally bring them home.

Congress wants to, but so far I don't see any guts from them to stand up to the President with something more than a non-binding resolution which everybody knows this bonehead that lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave won't pay any attention to.

I'd just like to move Dodd up on the list.  He deserves to be at least on the same rank as Edwards.
