LoL D's were the states rights party until 1920 when Cox ran with FDR

Parker supported Chain Gangs and Confederate flag like Woodrow Wilson

Teddy Roosevelt R party weren't the Reagan party until 1968 with Nixon

Don't know who I prefer between Parker or Debs. May as well flip a coin.

Curious how many red avatars would have so enthusiastically and easily cast Parker aside in 1904.  He effectively accused the Roosevelt campaign of being insincere trust busters that were almost entirely backed by large corporate donations, and he was 100% right.  Lol...

Not a Red avie and I loved Parker but generally speaking I'd vote or at least consider voting for an incumbent President of the opposite party if I thought they were doing a good enough job and Roosevelt certainly did. Nixon was another example as McGovern was a great candidate who I could've voted for in an off year (or with hindsight) but Nixon was doing a great job when it came to ending the war and promoting peace domestically.

Exactly. They've become so invested in the Party SwitchTM narrative that not only do they base their verdicts entirely on hindsight, but they base their verdicts on hindsight which is itself objectively incorrect.
