NATO should deploy peacekeeping troops to Moldova to support the Moldovan security forces if these people become violent terrorists (likely based on history.)
Most of the protesters are just pensioners who were bused in by an exiled fraudster. The Moldovan police have, so far, been able to arrest the real troublemakers. A big reason why the 2014 Russian-backed uprisings in the Donbass were successful was because the Ukrainian government didn't distinguish between the two groups, giving the uprising enough genuine popular support during the critical period.
I'm guessing that guy is the not-so-bright son of some mid-level Kremlin bureaucrat, who was given a mission in Moldova to avoid being sent as cannon fodder in the Donbass.

Zelensky did hint that was on the table. But, that would be one step closer to a full-out regional war that no one wants. So, it's best to let the local police to do their job.
