I saw it a few weeks ago. Am I the only one who sort of got a "deer hunter" vibe to it? I know mean streets came first but aside from it having DeNiro in it, it reminded me of the second half of Deer Hunter. By that I mean it's a bunch of guys in there late 20s/early 30s who have been pals since high school, don't have kids and time has kind of passed them by. Anyone agree?

I guess I need to give The Deer Hunter another shot.  I saw it as a late teen, and it just didn't "do it" for me.  I've always liked Mean Streets, but I was an adult when I saw it first.
