They're a Republican Pollster, who constantly made midterm polls showing the GOP up like eight points last year. I'd take any poll from them with a grain of salt.

Does this show that the Republican "establishment" wants DeSantis too?

Definitely. I think it's been established for months that they see Trump as a proven liability.

Not all junk polls are pushing a narrative. Some bad polls are just bad polls.

Could they be making it up just to lure DeSantis in, though? Yes, of course.

DeSantis's fundraising strongly suggests he's basically decided to get in (though if he doesn't he wouldn't be the first to get cold feet at the last second).

Candidate polls are rarely released in order to influence the conversation, and generally have little success in doing so, unlike issue polls. There's no particular reason to think that a poll showing DeSantis (or Trump) up is a cynical ploy to convince people that their candidate is winning -- what would be the point of this if they weren't?

Uh yeah. The far-right ghouls who consider themselves intellectuals (DeFatass) vs. CHUDs who don't obsess about politics nearly as much (Trump).

Some of the issue polling here is far more interesting than the primary polling itself, for example a majority of the people polled support an immigration reform and an entitlements reform, culture wars play VERY well with them and they are heavily divided on Ukraine funding.
Interesting stuff.
