These inconsistencies are just mind boggling. That said, I doubt DeSantis is up. Trump is the clear frontrunner.

What is inconsistent?  The cross-tabs make sense if you understand that the GOP is actually largely animated by a non-Southern, non-Evangelical middle class "base"

This poll has cross-tabs that look a lot more like 2016 and previous Republican primaries generally, which should count for something.

(Monmouth was also actually quite good at tracking Trump's rise/occasional bumps in 2015-16, though I wouldn't over-index on this since this is quite different from other pollsters in a number of ways, even beyond the top-line numbers.)
