Sen. Lauren Arthur, D-Kansas City, questioned Moon about whether, as a teacher and straight woman, she could talk about her husband.

There it is. There's what I've consistently asked supporters of legislation like this who constantly dance around what they really want. This is a horrible, nasty piece of legislation that will negatively impact many young people if it goes into effect... But at least he's being upfront about it.

This is misinformation from the Missouri Independent. The Florida law affects all grade levels; it just doesn't go quite as far with grades above third.
