THE GREAT INDOORS ACT

Section I — Title

This resolution may be cited as the Great Indoors Act.

Section II — Reforming Our State And Regional Parks

1. All state parks systems within Lincoln shall be expanded, so that at least one third (33.3333...%) of sites within them are 'indoors' — including, but not limited to, museums, historic landmarks, and notable examples of architecture.

2. A regional 'Great Indoors System' of 'Great Indoors sites' shall be created, and the following sites added to it:
  • Maine Maritime Museum, Bath, Maine;
  • Fort Kent, Fort Kent, Maine;
  • Portland Observatory, Portland, Maine;
  • Victoria Mansion, Portland, Maine;
  • Farnsworth Art Museum, Rockland, Maine;
  • American Independence Museum, Exeter, New Hampshire;
  • Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, New Hampshire;
  • Zimmerman and Kalil Houses, Manchester, New Hampshire;
  • Fort Stark, New Castle, New Hampshire;
  • USS Albacore Museum, Portsmouth, New Hampshire;
  • Ethan Allen Homestead, Burlington, Vermont;
  • Rokeby, Ferrisburgh, Vermont;
  • Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium, St. Johnsbury, Vermont;
  • St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, St. Johnsbury, Vermont;
  • American Precision Museum, Windsor, Vermont;
  • Old State House, Boston, Massachusetts;
  • Harvard Museum of Natural History, Cambridge, Massachusetts;
  • MIT Museum, Cambridge, Massachusetts;
  • Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory, Milton, Massachusetts;
  • Springfield Armory, Springfield, Massachusetts;

The intention of the initial list is to provide five sites from each state. If I ever expand the 'Great Indoors System,' I'll consider including these.
