I think Russia, they are making progress. Plus, NATO aid to Ukraine is slowing down. Even NATO thinks Ukraine can't win. Which really sucks, because Russia won't stop at Ukraine. World War III is here.

Neither Ukraine or Russia is coming out of this war better than they were before it, so no one is going to win this war.

Will you stop making the same “Russia is winning WW3 incoming” thread over and over again?

The more valid question is why on Earth people keep taking his bait.

Maybe in the forlorn hope that they will actually learn something?

This is the right answer. If there's anything that comes to mind from what we've seen this last year, "winning", from the perspective of either Russia or Ukraine, isn't it. Certainly for Ukraine, an entire generation will be devastated, and another will grow up without fathers.

It may be safest to say that the United States will win the war. I haven't been the biggest fan of Joe Biden, but from the very beginning when he predicted the Russian attack, up until now, his handling of the entire affair has been virtually flawless. At the cost of not a single American soldier's life, he is weakening and humiliating a geopolitical rival, bringing our European partners closer together, and giving the entire world a demonstration of the effectiveness of only a part of the Western arsenal. Remarkable.

I actually think Russia has already won, come to think of it. Regardless of which side ends up controlling the territory recognized internationally as Ukraine, Ukraine will end up far worse off than Russia in the long term. That is what Putin wanted when he ordered the invasion.

That’s not at all his goal for starting the war. He started it conquer Ukraine because he views their existence and identity as a historical mistake and at minimum wanted a puppet government back in Kyiv.

Russia on net terms, though it will come at horrid cost and be far from Russia's original goals.
If a country is invaded and stops the invader from achieving their initial goals but loses more than the invader, it is still generally the loser.
