I've certainly heard of the song but I've never had a reason to bother looking up who sung it. In general when in comes to Hollywood crap I'm less informed than the average person and unashamed of that.

Also, even if the song is catchy, it's just another song about how super great California is.

I'm pretty ambivalent towards the team but I like the band just fine, though I find their songs overplayed at times.

Even in offering that mild criticism of them there apparently is a subset of the world, beyond just the Dude, that hates the Eagles and calls them "the Nickelback of the 1970's." I cannot understand that at all.

There are many interpretations of "Hotel California" but none of them come away with the impression that it's about somebody having a good time.

I do like the song "Hotel California", but my goodness is it played so much on the radio.  I never cared for it on the radio but once I listened to it with my headphones on Spotify, I liked it.

I'm impartial to any sports teams, but I'll say I'm pro-Eagles because they're from PA.

Historically I have hated the Eagles, which mostly comes from hating Philly sports teams in general. That being said however, I really like Jalen Hurts and I find this iteration of the team to be pretty likable.
