Section A. This bill will be known as the Lincoln Energy Independence Commission Act
Section B. This bill will form a commission appointed by the governor who will determine the path that Lincoln should take regarding energy independence. The panel will have until January 1, 2024 to propose an action plan to bring Lincoln to full energy independence by January 1, 2030.
Section C. Implementation: This bill will take place effective immediately

This is an interesting idea. I would imagine Lincoln does currently import much of its energy from elsewhere in Atlasia as well as Canada. We do presently provide $60M in subsidies to solar, wind, and hydroelectric power companies which, in theory, should have massively increased the scope of green energy in Lincoln over the course of the last few years. More so, under the Affordable Energy Infrastructure Plan, Lincoln does already have at its disposal an Energy Authority tasked with developing utilities and reducing power costs.
