I remember that Strange beat George Wallace, Jr. in the Republican Primary.  Originally it was expected to be a Wallace vs. Folsom race - both Alabamian political dynasties.  What type of Democrat is Folsom?  He must be pretty strong in Alabama as Riley was winning comfortably.  Does he have a future running for Governor in 2010 or Senator at some point?

Folsom was the Lt. Governor from 1987 to 1993, then Governor from 1993 to 1995.

And this..

I'm guessing he'll be governor again, come 2011.  I wish he'd take on Jeff Sessions, though.

Its amazing how much a Democrat has to win just to eek out a narrow victory in Alabama.  Those growing Shelby, St. Clair, and Blount countiesare not helping Democrats.
