uhm....having sex while on-duty is a massive dereliction of responsibility. 

It definitely can be. But if you put a bunch of people in the same environment and they spend enough time together, eventually they will f*** each other soon enough.
Even purported workplace bans on sex are less total bans on it and rather requirements that you run it through HR.

I think you're misunderstanding, they were on-duty while this happened, meaning they were not only getting paid to do this when they should have been working, but due to the nature of their job, they were potentially putting civilian lives at risk by doing something else instead of being at the ready.

She sounds like she is experiencing a self-destructive episode. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of these people wasn't taking advantage of her in some way. I hope she is able to get the help that she needs.

It was like eight, yes eight, or so guys (5 fired, 3 suspended).
On various dates, at various parties (at homes of these officers), at hotels, and even at the police station.

I mean, come-on. If it was just one cop, then maybe. But not ALL that.

What are you talking about? 8 men would inherently put on more pressure than just 1 man.
