2 didn't vote, I don't know who. There should be 434 votes, and there are only 432. 211-202-19 = 432

It seems as though C-SPAN's numbers showing 432 are incorrect and it was really 434.

Yeah - Jordan and MTG have basically become McCarthy’s ambassadors tasked with outreach to the hard-right of the party.

So by my count McCarthy needs 15 more votes, Jordan's would provide 6 but that's only if all of them fall in line and don't just move to another alternative...probably not going to happen on the second round either.

The CNN count shows 212-203-19 so perhaps there was a CNN miscount, or the two voted after the roll call was over.

If there is actually a possibility of a grand coalition style arrangement (which would require a bunch of changes to stated GOP policy from the past few weeks) then the peripheries of both parties would need to whip against it. That or strategy/media cues.
