I don't think she can win statewide.

I believe she was talking about challenging Hillary Scholten.

I could see her winning a seat in congress in a red wave year, but losing after a single term.

At least John James realised he had to start from a lower level after 2 misses at the top, but he is genuinly popular among the Michigan republican voters.

Dixon was only selected randomly after all the popular candidates where barred from standing.

I didn't follow the race too closely but I don't think it's over for her; she ran against a moderately popular incumbent and had a very short on-ramp, which she can use as an excuse. Said many times that the comparisons to Mastriano were uncharitable.
