I realized that section III part III is likely unconstitutional so I am willing to nullify that section if it is the case.

Don't think 1.1 is necessary, because this can be helpful for people who are not very mobile.

We are coming for this.

Quote
FAIR IS FAIR ACT

Quote
1. Out of region sellers from Lincoln will be subjected to the same higher tax as that which Lincoln imposes on Southern sellers.

2. A 20% sales tax will be applied on all products made in Lincoln if the products are available within the South.

3. This act shall take effect immediately and shall sunset upon the repeal of the laws in Lincoln that similarly impose discriminatory taxes upon the South.

I know this act has already been passed, but can someone verify whether it is constitutional and whether in particular it does not violate the TREATY on the Establishment of a Common Market between the Republic of Atlasia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (which is an out of region seller of course too).

If it is a constitutional violation, i propose an amendment changing out of region to out of market which means outside the Republic of Atlasia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which would also not upset the Fremont and South legislators.

___

Aside of that, i have no moral objections if Fremont and the South decide to do the same, but if it only applies to Lincoln from the South and Fremont, it would hurt economic productivity in Lincoln and in that case, this would have to be repealed.

I decided to propose to repeal it anyways.

I voted for this because I personally believe in some form of protectionism, workers protections, business protections, but with hindsight these acts should be done on a federal level, and not on a regional level. And we should not encourage competition within the regions, we need to work together. I do believe in federal protectionism in particular to nations not in our common market.

Laki.

Can confirm that Frιmont's going at this like a bat out of hell.

We're one nation, folks. Why the hell are we protecting domestic industry from ourselves?
